Rocco Forte Augustine Hotel, PragueLetenská 12/33, Prague 11800, Czech Republic (Show map) “Service was very good, food was excellent, spa facilities very good, the finishings and amenities in the hotel were first class.” Brian, USA Rocco Forte Augustine Hotel Prague is known to be the most elegant hotel in Prague. The hotel is situated in a building which used to be a monastery. The charming neighbourhood of Mala Strana and Prague Castle district emphasize the unique experience of staying in a historical building. The design hotel Augustine can be found within a three! minutes walk from the Charles Bridge. Truly the only comparable hotels with the Augustine are The Alchymist Trziste, The Four Seasons and The Mandarin Oriental. The hotel Augustine Prague offers accommodation in well designed and expensively furbished rooms. All rooms offer great views of historical center - some face the Prague Castle, some face the inner courtyard, yet it is definitely worth to ask for an upgrade to executive room. It is recommended to do so on arrival to the hotel and not during the booking process as to save some money. The rooms that are facing the street are not recommended due to the annoying trams passing by every few minutes. Yet with windows closed this should not be a big deal. Rooms are above average size (in Europe) and offer amazing accommodation experience. Well supplied marble bathrooms can be treat for anyone! All rooms are different, and all are beautiful. Some tall guests complain about the low ceilings in some of the rooms, thus if you are over 6 feet, rather ask for a room with regular or high ceiling. The staff and the concierge of the hotel is famous for being efficient, friendly and very welcoming, not to mention that the smiles are seen everywhere, which is very unusual for Prague. There is a great restaurant and a spa center at the Augustine Design Hotel Prague, unfortunately some of the past guests claim that the spa prices are super expensive (even in comparison to western Europe). The restaurant has the best references. The bar at the hotel organizes different events and concerts and serves decent drinks for acceptable prices. The downside of the hotel may be the lack of coffee making facilities in the rooms and the closing time of the hotel bar, which is midnight. However there are plenty of nightlife around the hotel, the coffee facilities can be easily replaced by the room service. To briefly summarize the hotel information, it is the best to use some of the comments from the past guests: Sitting in the courtyard (with a peacock wandering around), enjoying freshly squeezed orange juice, honey (from a honeycomb which is on the buffet) on a pastry, nothing else could have better prepared us for the day of exploration. Stunning hotel with historical charm and a modern twist. Great location, walking distance to the Charles Bridge. Beautifully designed luxury hotel with excellent service and great attention to the detail. Hotel Rooms: 101
